Celotex PIR Insulation Boards – All Thicknesses

Description

Celotex is a rigid PIR insulation board with a low emissivity foil facing on both sides, used in pitched roofs, floors, timber frame and stud walls. At 0.022 W/mK it is one of the better-performing boards available, so you hit the same U-value with a thinner build-up than mineral wool or EPS would need. We stock the full range from 25mm to 100mm at our Rossendale warehouse for next-day delivery or trade counter collection. For thicker boards, see our Celotex XR4000 range from 110mm to 150mm.

Thicknesses, product codes and R-values

All boards are 2400 x 1200mm (2.88m² per board) with a lambda value of 0.022 W/mK.

Which thickness do I need?

It depends on the build-up and the U-value you are working to. As a starting point, 100mm between rafters with 25mm under is a common pitched roof specification, and 100mm is the usual choice under a screed floor. • Compressive strength: ≥140 kPa (BS EN 826)
• Water vapour resistance: >150 MNs/g (BS EN 12086)
• Surface spread of flame: Class 1 (BS 476-7)
• Reaction to fire: Euroclass F (BS EN 13501-1). Boards with this classification carry no smoke emission rating.
• CFC/HCFC free, zero ODP, CE marked to BS EN 13165
• BBA certified for defined pitched roof, dry lining and floor applications. Read the certificate in full for restrictions.

Celotex should not be used in the external walls of buildings over 11 metres in height.
